The concept for this four bedroom residence was to design separate pavilions around the heart of the site. The expression is based on the local vernacular building type, incorporating brick, concrete and corrugated materials. The heart of the house consists of the tallest space, the living/dining/sitting area. With 14′ ceiling height and full height glazing, the views over the river sunset are the highlight of the house. The space connects the front courtyard and rear entertainment deck as well as the public and private areas on either side of the house. The home strives to integrate landscape and indoor spaces by the use of covered terraces, trellises and water features that weave in and out of the home.
