KZ ARCHITECTURE OFFERS THE MOST ADVANCED SOLUTIONS IN SUSTAINABLE DESIGN. OUR CLIENTS CAN SELECT FROM A MULTITUDE OF FEATURES TO FIT THEIR SPECIFIC NEEDS.
The KZA design team is committed to executing the best sustainable practices and solutions for all of our projects. We follow third party guidelines, including LEED from the USGBC (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design—United States Green Building Council), FGBC (Florida Green Building Coalition), ENERGY STAR and LIVING BUILDING CHALLENGE.
Our buildings strive to exude beauty, enhance place, and yield healthy, comforting and inspiring settings for joyful living. We capitalize on passive sustainable practices that celebrate the South Florida climate. These include building orientation in response to the strong Florida sun, ventilated and shaded outdoor living spaces, cross ventilation and natural light throughout. Some of our strategies and goals include the optimization of energy consumption, the use of alternative energy sources, the reduction of potable water waste, the improvement of indoor air quality and the utilization of non/toxic and environmentally preferred products.
One of our projects–the West Broadview Residence in Bay Harbor Islands– was a pioneer for single family sustainable design and construction in the State of Florida, as it was the first house in South Florida to achieve Silver LEED Certification as well as Gold Certification from the FGBC in 2009.
